PUC Routing | CCN Cases
If your land is targeted for a new electric transmission line, don't wait.
The outcome of this nearly 6-month proceeding determines who will have their property condemned for an unsightly, brand new electric transmission line.
Our attorneys are respected trial lawyers who have extensive experience in representing individual landowners, neighbors, and “alliances” in high-stakes “CCN Proceedings.”
Routing cases at the Texas Public Utility Commission are extremely data-driven, and a keen understanding of the PUC routing criteria is crucial. Our strategy relies on a collaborative approach with our landowner client.
In our representation we:
- Work with landowner client to attend pre-application meetings, including open houses and informal meetings, in order to provide the utility company with relevant information with the intent to avoid the client’s land altogether, or otherwise mitigate potential damage to the client’s land.
- Develop the most cost-effective strategy for their situation.
- Recommend, advise on and help develop an appropriate “alliance” to share costs.
- "Vet” the CCN application for errors.
- Develop a favorable evidentiary record that reflects the routing criteria used by the Texas Public Utility Commission.
- Identify and recommend the appropriate routing expert.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of Direct Testimony.
- Attend technical, settlement and informal conferences.
- Prepare for and attend the Hearing on the Merits where our attorneys will cross examine adverse witnesses and our recommended expert will rebut the testimony of other landowners/intervenors.
- Prepare all post-hearing briefs, filings and appeals.
